Dr. Sky Shanks is a podiatric surgeon who specializes in diseases and injuries affecting the foot and ankle. She was born and raised in San Francisco and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California. She then returned to the Bay Area and completed her doctorate at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, and her surgical residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco. She is board-certified in foot surgery and recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). 

Dr. Shanks has practiced in Napa Valley and Solano County since 2014 and focuses on personalized care for patients of all ages and stages of life. She has mentored students, served as clinical surgical attending for podiatric residents at St. Mary’s Medical Center and volunteered as medical staff in community athletic organizations. Her interests include elective forefoot surgery, reconstructive foot surgery, trauma, as well as diabetic limb salvage. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and backpacking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is also an avid fan of the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers.
